Nottingham Trams (NET)
Keolis operates Nottingham’s NET (Nottingham Express Transit) tram network and it has the highest satisfaction score of all the UK’s light rail systems – 98% - in the 2016 study by Transport Focus
In 2015 the network doubled in size to 32 kilometres with the opening of NET’s second and third lines. The network now carries 12.5million passengers a year.
NET includes a number of innovative features that make it one of the most advanced light rail networks in the UK, many introduced by Keolis. These include an increase in depot space and new control systems – resulting in an increase in the number of trams on the system from six to eight per hour.
Keolis drew upon its international expertise to help shape the delivery of the NET Phase Two expansion from the start of construction to its full operation in 2015, reviewing the project implementation plan at regular intervals and providing advice and support to the local authorities.
A collaboration between Keolis, Nottingham City Council and Nottingham City Transport also helped create a new integrated transport hub at Nottingham station.
